Financial Markets have decided they are “all in” on a Trump victory. But neither Wall Street nor pollsters are paying enough attention to women in this extraordinary election, where the gender gap between Harris and Trump voters is breaking records. If anything, there are more headlines about Harris’ weak support among white men than Trump’s catastrophic performance with all women—who comprise 50% of the American population across ages, regions and races. Of course, women do not vote as a uniform bloc, and they are not all in favour of abortion rights. But it is wrong to code the issue as a Left/Right divide.
